Meet Peter Bregman. Peter is a composer, a producer, an engineer. He is a dog lover, an insane cook, and a very patient man. Peter is my husband and my friend.
After months of bumping into each other around Minneapolis, one late night at our local watering hole we drank whiskey and closed the bar down talking about Buddhism and the role of the Empath in the world. This guy was philosophical. He was a musician and engineer. He was nice, like that kind of chivalry that is thoughtful but not sexist, you know? As he once put it, “I want to be the T Bone Burnett to your Sam Phillips,” (except for the whole divorce part of it, I assume).
I was won over, and now four and a half years later, we’re hitched and literally living on an island out to sea—just him, me, our dog and my super snarky attitude.
Peter Bregman is a composer, producer, engineer, and musician. Known for his ability to create intricate soundscapes and manipulate audio using a diverse set of tools, he mixes traditional instrumentation with found sounds and audio synthesis to produce unique timbres and tonalities.
After studying jazz arrangement in college and pursuing a degree in audio engineering, Bregman went on to design audio electronics and produce and collaborate on a number of records. He was a member of the band Sun Gods to Gamma Rays, co-owns Resonant Electronic Design, and currently composes ambient music under his own name.
Pete’s blog will be featured on Monday, February 29th. I’m super excited for it and you should be, too!
